The department is exceling in its efforts to produce leaders who are relevant in solving present and future local, national and global challenges. Updated knowledge and skills are imparted in every student, who is built as the next industrial leader. The quality research at the graduate and undergraduate levels of the Department is a pointer to the successful milestones covered. Indeed, I am delighted to state that the corporate social responsibility of the Department is waxing stronger year upon year. Thus, the Department has extended the outcome of its recent findings on new energy and engineering design investigations to benefit the neighbouring communities, especially the less privileged ones.  The capable human resources of the Department are behind the new pedestal on which the Department stands.
